Pineau des Charentes opens its doors

The Pineau des Charentes committee asked its members to open their doors to the public and about 130 producers did so on the weekend of 7 and 8 August. Christian Baudry, the president of the committee, explains that the principle of open days is to associate the presentation of pineau with that of regional products. Although many tourists took advantage of the operation to discover the product, Christian Baudry points out that local customers still represent 40% of pineau buyers.
