Pineau defends itself against taxes

After 6 years of fighting to have the taxes on their products reduced, the officials at the pineau and spirits professional trade organization have decided to take their combat to the media. The national pineau committee and the pineau producers’ union consider that the surcharge on pineau is unbearable and are launching wide-ranging actions to bring about a change in the law. Each year, pineau brings the state 20 million euros in tax revenue (24 million when VAT is included).
