Camus and the crisis
20 novembre 2009

Cyril Camus, CEO of the cognac house of the same name (5th largest on the market) has set out his strategy to deal with the crisis in the “Sud Ouest” newspaper. The strategy in itself is not revolutionary : reduced promotional spending, such as the end of the sponsorship of Blues passion, the selling of some stocks, a stronger sales presence in Asia (notably China), some investments deferred and other brought forward, activity centered on 2 sites (administration and bottling in Cognac, ageing in Segonzac, the sale of the Merpins site which lies on the route of the future Cognac beltway). The Camus cognac house has managed to become much more reactive than in the past in the light of reversals.
